A little about us

Kershaws was founded by Margret and Edwin Kershaw,

in 1946 in the small village of Scarisbrick, Lancashire. 

During the 1940’s, 50’s and 60’s, while raising their four children and

running a busy local business, Margret and Edwin's passion for seafood grew. As they introduced the Nation to the first 'Cockle Man', the Kershaw name soon became synonymous with exceptional seafood.

Margaret and Edwin always insisted on sourcing the best ingredients that money

can buy and yet maintaining value for money to our customers.

These core values have been carried on by their Sons David and Brian 

and Granddaughter Kayleigh. We credit Kershaws' success to our loyal customers

and the unwavering commitment of our staff who, over their many

decades of service, have become a family to us. 

Our loyal customers have supported the family business for eight decades and

in turn we ensure that our customers receive only the seafood that

deserves to carry the Kershaw name - a name they can trust.
